Flash Project - Items were collected for Hospitality INC.
Hospitality INC Jason Robbins, Executive Director
Hospitality INC provides safe emergency shelter for homeless men from November 1 to April.
The Shelter was a roaming shelter from 2009 to 2017. In 2018, Hospitality INC moved in to the lower level of the Salvation Army Church. The shelter can accommodate 29 guests each night. Check-in is from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Check-out is after breakfast in the morning.
From November 2025 through April 2026, 75 men were served, up by 20 from the previous year. Situational homelessness is more prevalent than addiction. 6,700 meals were served, 18 men secured their own place to live, 23 men went into stable housing, 3 men purchased a vehicle and 15 men turned to faith. 185 volunteers served the shelter in 2025-2026. Rotarians Kathy Bromley and Mary Lou Ohnsman are among the volunteers.
Jason introduced Toby Cook. Due to situational homelessness, Toby was living in a tent in a forest in Lake County, when he first met Jason in December of 2025. While Hospitality INC primarily serves Mason County, exceptions are made. Today, Toby has landed on his feet and serves as a volunteer at the shelter. “Today's guest is tomorrow's volunteer.”
Many different volunteer opportunities are available at the shelter. Hospitality INC also needs Board members.
