Jim Rosborough

Epworth cottager Jim Rosborough is an icon in the world of college coaching.

He has spent the past 56 years coaching D1 and D2 men’s and women’s basketball and tennis.

His teams earned two national titles:

  • University of Arizona Men's Basketball in 1997 in a 84-79 victory over Kentucky
  • Pima Community College Women's Basketball in 2026 in a 64-58 victory over Johnson City.

He has coached more than 50 NCAA games and has earned a combined five Hall of Fame personal and team awards.

Jim retired in March, but if you read this Arizona Daily Star story, he might not be quite done yet.  Daily Star article    KGUN Sports Feature

No Zoom this week.

Details for our Meeting at Epworth - August 13

Parking is limited and requires a little bit of walking, so please plan to arrive at least 5 minutes early.

The guard at the gate will direct you for parking at either our Auditorium or Tennis Courts and you'll walk west to the Marine Dining Room, which is along Lake Michigan.

If you have a mobility issue and need a closer space, please let the guard at the gate know and you'll be given a pass for the Hotel lot. There is a ramp available for access to the nearby Marine Dining Room but know that it does take extra time to make that trek.

This photo shows the view you'll see as you're heading toward the Marine Dining Room, the building straight ahead with the green roof.

We will be collecting items for COVE at our meeting on August 20 and August 27.

The Rotary Club of Ludington is accepting Proposals for a Local District Grant.

The Rotary Club of Ludington plays an important role in supporting local organizations that advance the public good, foster innovation, and address community needs. This Request for Proposal (RFP) aims to solicit applications from eligible entities seeking funding for sustainable projects and programs. Eligible entities do not include individuals, families or for-profit organizations. We prioritize projects that provide benefits beyond the year in which the grant is awarded, that demonstrate measurable outcomes, support one or more of our Areas of Focus, involve active participation by Rotary members, or are sponsored by a member of Rotary. We will not consider projects for the operating, administrative, or indirect program expenses of another organization.  Contact Bob Vipond for information.  Deadline: 8/28/26.
